Job Description

As the Sr. Risk Manager Pension you will play a crucial role in safeguarding of the pension funds by ensuring robust risk management across financial data, reporting, and participant administration. Focused on supporting the managing board, committees, and fund manager, this role keeps stakeholders informed of changes and developments that may impact fund stability and objectives.

Primary responsibilities include proactively identifying and assessing risks related to economic, financial, and regulatory factors. You will be responsible to develop strategies to mitigate these risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and promoting secure fund operations. Additionally,  address potential operational bottlenecks, enhancing efficiency and data integrity in alignment with risk management goals.

With an emphasis on compliance, timely issue resolution, and strategic oversight, you will also review financial data and reporting to ensure accuracy and transparency, reinforcing the resilience and reliability of the pension funds.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business Administration.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience within the financial industry.
  • Proven experience in risk management.
  • In-depth understanding of pension plans, legal regulations, and compliance standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for identifying and resolving operational challenges.
  • High attention to detail, with a commitment to maintaining accuracy and data integrity.
  • Skilled in managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong ethical principles and a commitment to confidentiality in managing sensitive participant data.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, Dutch, and Papiamentu, with the ability to effectively interact with participants and stakeholders.
